The Committee

As a community pre-school, and in accordance with our PLA constitution, we are run and managed by a committee of volunteer parents who are elected by the parents of the attending pre-school children at our AGM. We are proud that over 20% of parents serve on the committee.

The committee are responsible for the following:

  • managing the finances of the pre-school
  • employing and managing the staff
  • ensuring the pre-school adheres to policies which are maintained by the committee providing high quality service and the smooth running of the pre-school
  • ensuring the pre-school works in partnership with the children's parents

The management committee consists of a minimum of 5 members, 60% of which must be parents of attending children. Without the committee in place the preschool can not. As children come and go the committee must also change in order to satisfy the legal requirements.
